Victory Church envisions to build a church planting movement through a network of house churches among Filipino immigrants, Filipino-Americans and their friends and families in the north-central region of DFW Metro.
Our House Churches shall be led by laypeople, just as the early churches in Rome were led by laypeople like Pricilla and Aquila (Romans 16:3-5). They shall be engaged in the same activities as the New Testament churches: “Everyday they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts” (Acts 2:46).
The House Churches shall be the building block towards a more dynamic congregation of Victory Church.
The world is moving fast so the church needs to implement a rapid method of church multiplication . Church planting should not be slowed down by the lack of formal bible or seminary school attendance. A house church is an effective way to do a rapid church multiplication because it could be established by lay Christians who are faithful to the Lord and who love the lost.
Nehemiah rebuilt the walls of Jerusalem with the help of all types of people among the Israelites (read Nehemiah 3). We could build house churches through the help of lay people and reach more people with the goods news of salvation. They would only need support from pastors or missionaries to equip and encourage them. The apostle Paul wrote in Ephesians 4:11-12, “And he gave some to be apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; for the perfecting of the saints, unto the work of ministering, unto the building up of the body of Christ.”
