Message Rev. Jeru Francia

Message Summary: “Abraham Identifying The Will Of God”

Based on the text of Genesis 24:1–9, this message explores how believers can discern the will of God and maintain a steadfast confidence that He will overcome life’s obstacles.

1. The Call to Know and Do God’s Will

  • A Daily Aim: Everyone who confesses Jesus as Lord must actively aim to know and do the Father’s will every day. While God does not expect perfect performance (as Christ already completed the work), He requires persistence, purpose, and effort.
  • Understanding God’s Silence: Like Abraham, who lived through 25 years of divine silence between the promise and the birth of Isaac, believers must view silence not as God’s absence, but as an invitation to trust the words He has already spoken.

2. Discerning God’s Will Through Past Revelation

In Genesis 24, Abraham had no fresh, explicit command from God regarding a wife for Isaac. Instead, he successfully discerned God’s will by looking backward at God’s past promises and patterns:

  • Isaac must marry: God promised Abraham descendants as numerous as the stars through Isaac, meaning marriage was necessary.
  • The wife must not be a Canaanite: To prevent “altar-sharing” and spiritual compromise, Isaac could not marry locally. Bringing the world into an intimate covenant ultimately threatens the throne of one’s heart.
  • Isaac must not return to Mesopotamia: God explicitly called Abraham out of his homeland and promised him the land of Canaan. Returning would signal unbelief.

By synthesizing these past revelations, Abraham traced out a clear path forward: send a servant to find a wife from his kindred and bring her back to Canaan.

3. The Doctrine of Providence and Divine Confidence

  • The Angel of the Lord: Because Abraham was aligned with God’s will, he possessed total confidence, telling his servant, “He will send his angel before you.”
  • God’s Invisible Work: This illustrates the doctrine of Providence—God’s quiet, invisible work behind the scenes. While the servant prepared for the journey, God was already working on the heart of Rebekah miles away.
  • The Willingness to Pivot: Discerning God’s will does not mean mathematical certainty. Abraham allowed for the possibility that he might have misread the situation, telling the servant he would be free from the oath if the woman refused to come. True faith means moving forward in confidence, but remaining humble enough to pivot if God redirects.

4. Practical Application: Marrying the Word

To effectively read the patterns of God’s will, believers cannot survive on a Christless culture 99% of the time and a ten-minute glance at the Bible 1% of the time. We must “marry the Bible” through deep, prayerful meditation.

A Suggested Spiritual Experiment:

If you are facing confusion, set aside time to be totally alone with Scripture and prayer.

  1. Avoid human words (no phone, TV, or secular distractions).
  2. Fast at least one meal a day.
  3. Read the Bible consistently throughout the day, interrupted only by prayer.
  4. Spend time walking in nature, journaling, or reading biblical study aids.

5. The Ultimate Gospel Connection

Ultimately, Genesis 24 serves as a shadow of the Greater Father. God the Father looked at a world far from Him and sent His Spirit into the “far country” to call out a Bride (the Church) for His Son, Jesus. Believers do the will of God not to earn His love, but because they have been captivated by the promise of a King they have not yet seen, choosing to leave everything behind to meet Him.

Scripture Focus: The Story of Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 18)

1. Honoring Mothers (The Reflection of Grace)

A mother’s love—patient, sacrificial, and fierce—as a direct reflection of God’s heart. honor to all types of mothers: those celebrating, those who are tired, those grieving the loss of a child, those waiting in hope to become mothers, and spiritual mothers who mentor others.

2. Scripture Focus: The Story of Abraham and Sarah (Genesis 18)

The core biblical text comes from Genesis 18:10–18, where God promises the elderly and barren Abraham and Sarah that they will have a son within a year. Sarah, listening from the tent door, laughs internally at the impossibility of the claim due to her advanced age. God confronts her reaction with a foundational question:

“Is anything too hard for the Lord?”

3. The Central Concept: “The Isaac Factor”

“The Isaac Factor”, which is defined as: God deliberately operating through humanly impossible circumstances so that humanity must depend entirely on His sovereign grace, thereby ensuring God receives all the glory.

The text outlines how God systematically systematically blocked ordinary human methods to prove His power:

  • Barrenness: God intentionally allowed Sarah to be barren from the beginning.
  • Rejecting Substitutes: God refused Abraham’s attempt to name his servant Eliezer as his legal heir.
  • Rejecting Human Ingenuity: God rejected Ishmael—the son born out of self-reliance via the concubine Hagar—because Ishmael was humanly possible.
  • The Waiting Period: God waited until Abraham was 100 and Sarah was 90 (well past childbearing years) so that the birth of Isaac could only be credited to a supernatural miracle.

4. Key Theological Application

two main spiritual lessons for believers today:

Salvation is Entirely by Grace

Drawing from the Apostle Paul’s writings, true Christians are not “children of the flesh” (the result of human effort) but “children of promise” (the result of supernatural, divine intervention). Spiritual rebirth is a work of God, not human initiative.

Confronting Sinful Self-Reliance and Despair

a common human trap: when faced with impossible situations, people naturally try to manipulate circumstances or rely on their own works to fulfill God’s promises. Satan uses seemingly hopeless situations to breed doubt, causing people to laugh at God’s promises out of unbelief or a crushed spirit.

Conclusion: Trusting in the Ultimate Promise

shifting focus from Isaac to Jesus Christ. Just as God brought life from Sarah’s “dead” womb, He brought eternal life out of the death of Jesus through the Resurrection.

Believers are called to stop trying to earn or manufacture God’s favor. Instead, they are encouraged to live in humility and joy, fully convinced that while navigating life’s heavy burdens and the weight of sin is far too hard for humans, nothing is too hard for the Lord.

Message Rev. Jeru Francia

Summary: The Tower of Babel and God’s Glory

This message explores the narrative of the Tower of Babel (Genesis 11:1–9), demonstrating how humanity’s “spectacular sin” of pride and rebellion ultimately serves God’s sovereign, global purpose to magnify the glory of Jesus Christ.

The Sin of Babel: Pride and False Security

Following the flood, God commanded humanity to multiply and fill the earth. Instead, the people clustered together in the land of Shinar to build a city and a tower reaching to the heavens. This outward construction exposed two deep inward sins:

  • The Love of Praise: They sought to “make a name” for themselves rather than living for the glory of God.
  • The Love of Security: They built a city to avoid being dispersed, relying on human systems rather than trusting and obeying God.

In response, God “came down”—a biblical irony mocking the insignificance of their “high” tower—and judged their arrogance by confusing their language and scattering them across the earth.

The Ultimate Goal: God’s Glory

God created humanity to display, know, and praise His glory (the perfect harmony of His beautiful attributes). When humanity rebelled, God did not abandon them; instead, He initiated a redemption plan by choosing Abram, promising to make his name great so that God would receive the ultimate glory.

Five Ways Babel Serves the Glory of Christ

While the diversity of languages and nations resulted from a judgment on sin, God woven it into His plan to uniquely glorify Jesus Christ in five distinct ways:

WayDescription
1. Christians Guarded
2. Pride Destroyed“Babel” is the Hebrew word for Babylon. The fall of the tower foreshadows the ultimate, sudden destruction of the end-times global empire (“Babylon”) and the Beast by the second coming of Christ.
3. Every Group ClaimedChrist’s supreme authority and power are magnified because His Great Commission successfully breaks into every distinct people group and language to claim disciples.
4. The Gospel GlorifiedThe gospel proves it is not a provincial or tribal religion. Its beauty and power shine brighter because it transcends thousands of distinct languages and cultures to save believers.
5. Jesus PraisedThe eternal praise Jesus receives in heaven is far more beautiful because it is sung in a diverse symphony of voices from every tribe, tongue, people, and nation.

Conclusion

The message concludes with an urgent call to modern listeners to look at their own root sins, repent, and reconcile with God. Humanity’s prideful attempt to unite against God was shattered, but through Christ, a beautifully diverse humanity will ultimately unite in eternal worship.

Message Rev. Jeru Francia

This message explores the story of the Covenant with Noah in Genesis 9, framing history not as a random series of events, but as a “highway” engineered by God toward a specific destination: the coming of Jesus Christ.

The three primary lessons and the ultimate purpose of the flood narrative:

1. The Reality of Human Sin

The story begins by confronting the depth of human depravity. The flood was not a “cute” children’s story, but a response to a world “filled with violence.”

  • Universal Corruption: Man’s heart is described as evil from youth.
  • Post-Flood Sin: The message notes that the flood did not “fix” human nature; even Noah, a man saved by grace, fell into sin shortly after leaving the ark.
  • The Need for Grace: Noah was not sinless; he was “blameless” because he walked with God and relied on His favor (grace).

2. The Certainty of Divine Judgment

The flood serves as a terrifying reminder that God’s patience has an end.

  • Holy Wrath: God hates sin and will not allow it to continue forever.
  • Future Warning: The New Testament uses the flood as a “type” or shadow of the final judgment to come. Just as the world was once judged by water, it remains under the reality of God’s holy opposition to evil.

3. God’s Commitment to His Purpose

Despite human failure, God refuses to abandon His goal for creation: to fill the earth with His glory. To ensure this mission continues, God provides three protections for humanity:

  • Provision over Animals: Animals are given to man for food and kept in “dread” of man to allow for human expansion.
  • Restraint of Murder: God institutes capital punishment for murder to protect the sanctity of life, which is made in His image.
  • The Covenant Promise: God sets the rainbow in the sky as a sign that He will never again destroy all life with a flood. He promises to maintain the cycles of nature (seasons, harvest, day, and night) as long as the earth remains.

Conclusion: The Road to Christ

The Noahic Covenant is incomplete on its own because it preserves a sinful world but does not solve the problem of the sinful heart.

The “pleasing aroma” of Noah’s sacrifice—which prompted God’s promise—points toward the ultimate sacrifice of Jesus Christ. The “highway of history” leads from the Ark to the Cross, where God provides the final remedy for sin, ensuring His glory will one day fill the earth through those redeemed by His Son.

Message Rev. Jeru Francia

This message, titled “The Knowledge of Good and Evil,” explores the biblical origins of human independence from God, the nature of Satan, and God’s ultimate sovereignty over evil.

1. The Root of the Fall: Independence

The “Knowledge of Good and Evil” represented in Genesis 3 is not about intellectual data, but about moral autonomy.

  • The Insurrection: By eating the fruit, humanity claimed the right to decide for themselves what is true, right, and beautiful, rather than relying on God as the objective source.
  • The Secular Parallel: The modern world attempts to “dethrone” God, making man the highest court of appeal. This results in a power struggle where “might makes right,” leading to the horrific violence seen in the 20th century.
  • The Result of Shame: Human efforts to look invulnerable or self-sufficient (through clothing, status, or strength) are rooted in the original shame of trying to be like God.

2. The Nature and Defeat of Satan

The serpent in the garden is identified as Satan—the deceiver, slanderer, and murderer.

  • A Defeated Foe: While Satan is the “ruler of this world,” his power was decisively broken at the Cross. Jesus disarmed him by nullifying the accusations of guilt against those who trust in Christ.
  • The Mystery of Origin: Satan was a created angel who rebelled through self-exaltation. While the Bible doesn’t explain how a holy being could turn to evil, it affirms that God is not helpless against him.

3. The Sovereignty of God Over Evil

A central theme of the message is that Satan operates on a leash. He cannot act without God’s permission, as seen in the lives of Job and Peter.

  • Purposeful Permission: God permits evil not out of weakness, but for an infinitely wise purpose.
  • The Apex of Glory: God allows Satan to exist so that Christ’s glory can be displayed through patience, suffering, and sacrifice rather than just raw power. Christ is more highly honored by defeating evil through the weakness of the Cross.

4. Practical Application: How to Relate to Evil

Here’s a framework for how believers should live in a world where evil still exists.

What to Do with Evil

  1. Expect it: Do not be surprised by trials.
  2. Endure it: Bear up under it with hope.
  3. Give thanks: Appreciate the refining effect God works through it.
  4. Hate it: Abhor what is evil and hold to good.
  5. Pray for escape: Ask for deliverance from temptation.
  6. Expose it: Do not participate in works of darkness.
  7. Overcome it: Use good to defeat evil.
  8. Resist it: Stand firm so the devil will flee.

What NEVER to Do

  1. Never despair: God is always in control.
  2. Never feel life is absurd: Even random evil has a place in God’s plan.
  3. Never blame God for sin: God is righteous in all His ways.
  4. Never doubt God’s love: For those in Christ, evil is used for fatherly discipline and purification, not as a punishment of wrath.

Message Rev. Jeru Francia

This message, titled “The Image of God,” explores the theological significance of Genesis 1:26–28, focusing on three core pillars: that God created human beings, that He created them in His image, and that He created them male and female.

The following summary breaks down the three main points and how they each point toward the necessity of Christ.

1. God Created Human Beings

The text establishes that human life is distinct from all other creation. There is a “gap” between humans and animals (intellectually and morally) and even between humans and angels (who are not said to be made in God’s image).

  • The Connection to Christ: Creation itself feels “unfinished” in the Old Testament due to human rebellion. The speaker argues that the purpose of our creation—to exercise dominion and reflect God’s glory—is only fully realized and achieved through Jesus Christ.

2. God Created Us in His Image (Imago Dei)

Being made in God’s image means possessing personality (knowledge, feelings, will), morality (conscience), and spirituality (the capacity for communion with God). While the “image” does not mean God has a physical body, He designed the human body to act out His attributes (seeing, hearing, speaking).

  • The Connection to Christ: Sin has marred this image “almost beyond recognition.” While we still retain a spark of dignity that makes human life sacred, we are broken. Christianity acts as a reclamation project, where Christ restores the image of God in us through sanctification and “new creation.”

3. God Created Us Male and Female

The distinction between genders is viewed not as a biological accident, but as a purposeful, good design by God. The speaker addresses “gender confusion” by asserting that men and women are equal in dignity but distinct in role and nature.

  • The Mystery of Marriage: Marriage is presented as a “parable” or symbol. Its true meaning—revealed in the New Testament—is to mirror the relationship between Christ and the Church.
  • The Healing of the Fall: Sin turned the relationship between the sexes into one of conflict and dominance. Christ heals this by making men and women “fellow-heirs of the grace of life.”
  • Singleness: the “image of God” is not dependent on being married. Because marriage is a temporary institution for this earth, single men and women can reflect God’s image and find full completion through devotion to the Lord.

Conclusion

The message concludes that these three truths from Genesis are incomplete on their own. They “beg” for the completion found in Christianity. Only through Christ is the purpose of creation fulfilled, the marred image of God restored, and the true destiny of male and female—whether married or single—realized in the kingdom of God.

3. ”What A God”

Message Rev. Jeru Francia

Celebrating its 6th anniversary on Easter Sunday at Victory Church, this message focused on the assurance of salvation and the profound identity of being a “child of God.” Drawing from Romans 8, believers can move past a vague faith into a “rock-solid” confidence in their relationship with Christ.

Below is a summary of the key themes and theological points:

1. Two Evidences of the Holy Spirit

the Holy Spirit provides internal evidence of salvation through two specific experiences:

  • Waging War on Sin: True assurance doesn’t come from perfection, but from a persistent, “present-tense” hatred of one’s own sin. Being “led by the Spirit” means using God’s power to actively fight personal struggles (like pride, sloth, or lust) rather than settling into them.
  • The Cry of “Abba! Father!”: The Spirit creates an authentic, emotional, and desperate longing for God. This isn’t a programmed response but a “heart-cry” for a Father’s help, much like a prodigal son returning home.

2. The Threefold Inheritance

As “heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ,” believers are promised a future that far outweighs current circumstances:

  • The World: Countering the “Prosperity Gospel,” while we suffer now, believers will eventually inherit the entire earth in the resurrection.
  • God Himself: The ultimate prize of heaven is not just the absence of pain, but the presence of God. He is the “capstone of all pleasures.”
  • A Glorified Body: Believers will receive new bodies capable of enjoying the new creation perfectly without the temptation of idolatry.

3. The Necessity of Suffering

a sobering “reality check” regarding Romans 8:17: we are heirs provided we suffer with Him. * The Purpose of Pain: Suffering is described as a “therapy” or discipline from a loving Father. It prevents believers from falling in love with worldly comforts and forgetting God.

  • The Comparison: Following Paul’s logic, while suffering is inevitable (whether through persecution or bodily decay), it is “not worth comparing” to the glory that will be revealed.

Conclusion

By hating sin, crying out to the Father, and enduring suffering with hope, a Christian can know “beyond a shadow of a doubt” that they belong to the family of God.

1.”Praise”

2. “I Speak Jesus”

3. “Great Is Thy Faithfulness (Beginning To End)”

Message Rev. Jeru Francia

This Palm Sunday Message highlights eight key themes.

  1. Foremost, Jesus is presented as the rightful Messianic King
  2. fulfilling prophecy
  3. as he enters Jerusalem to praise and worship
  4. Yet, this Kingship is marked by humility over power
  5. is misunderstood by many who expect a political liberator
  6. This misunderstanding marks the beginning of the Passion Week
  7. leading Jesus to a mission of peace through ultimate sacrifice
  8. We must respond to Jesus

Luke 19:41-49 illustrates Christ’s emotional complexity. He is a king who, like a terminally ill father returning home, knows he has only one week to live. Jesus experiences a tangle of joy at his followers’ welcome and deep sorrow for the city’s fate, symbolized by Rembrandt’s paradoxical depiction of Christ.

The text reveals a three-level spiritual tragedy:

  1. Jerusalem’s willful ignorance: rejecting the unique time of “visitation” and Jesus’ offers of peace.
  2. The coming of judgment: predicted for 70 AD and as eternal separation (hell).
  3. Jesus’ sorrowful desire for reconciliation: longing for his people’s salvation.

Ultimately, Palm Sunday is a message of hope. Jesus, the king with “no self-pity,” seeks not condemnation but a meaningful relationship. He extends an immediate call to personal response inviting everyone to accept his “simple terms of peace”: to lay down arms, accept his pardon, and swear allegiance to him as their true King.

1.”Your Grace Is Enough

2. “Holy Forever”

3. “What A Beautiful Name”

Message Rev. Jeru Francia

Here is a clear and concise summary of the sermon text provided, highlighting its key themes and structure.

Overview

The message, titled “The Grace and Glory of the Mosaic Covenant,” explores the establishment of God’s covenant with Israel at Mount Sinai in Exodus 19. It argues that the Mosaic covenant is not a system of earning salvation through works, but rather a continuation of God’s covenant of grace that ultimately points to the work of Jesus Christ.

Core Themes

1. How the Covenant Was Established

  • The Setting: Three months after being miraculously delivered from Egypt, Israel arrives at Mount Sinai.
  • The Negotiation: Moses acts as a mediator. God proposes the covenant terms, and the people agree. God then descends in fire and delivers the Ten Commandments and further ordinances.
  • The Failure and Renewal: While Moses is on the mountain for 40 days receiving the stone tablets, the people commit idolatry. Deserved destruction is averted by Moses’ intercession. God reveals Himself as merciful, gracious, and forgiving, renewing the broken covenant on the basis of grace rather than strict justice.

2. Divine Promises and Human Conditions

The 5 Divine Promises:

  1. Prized Possession: Israel would be uniquely treasured by God above all other nations.
  2. Kingdom of Priests: The entire nation would enjoy intimate access to the King of the universe.
  3. Holy Nation: Israel would be set apart and granted a moral likeness to God.
  4. Divine Protection: God would fight Israel’s battles and display His glory by overcoming her enemies.
  5. Mercy and Forgiveness: God would treat them with grace and forgive their sins.

The Human Conditions:

  • The condition is not sinless perfection or earning blessings through work.
  • The required response is “faith working through love.” Obeying God is the natural evidence of loving and trusting Him. Israel’s failures in the wilderness are repeatedly traced back to a root of unbelief.

3. Connection to Jesus Christ

  • The Mesage concludes that the Abrahamic, Mosaic, and New Covenants are all expressions of one great covenant of grace.
  • The Mosaic covenant required animal sacrifices that could never truly atone for sin. The justice of God in forgiving Old Testament believers was secured because God looked forward to the sacrifice of Jesus.
  • What was freely given under Moses was purchased by Christ on the cross. Therefore, believers today who walk in the obedience of faith inherit all these rich promises.

Message “The Lord Almighty

Rev. Jeru Francia

This message, titled **”The Lord Almighty,”** is an exploration of God’s omnipotence based on **Exodus 6:1–8**. It serves as both an encouragement to believers and an invitation to those outside the faith to understand the implications of serving an all-powerful God.

The summary of the message is organized into three main sections:

### 1. The Context: Encouragement in Setbacks

Moses and the Israelites were discouraged because, after obeying God, their situation actually worsened—Pharaoh increased their labor.

* **The Lesson:** God often allows a “discouraging setback” to precede a “glad experience.”

* **The Revelation:** God reveals Himself to Moses not just as *El Shaddai* (God Almighty), the name known to the patriarchs, but as *Yahweh* (the I AM), a deeper revelation of His unchanging character and covenant-keeping nature.

### 2. The Nature of Omnipotence

The message defines God’s omnipotence (His “almightiness”) through three primary characteristics:

* **Unstoppable Purpose:** No power in the universe can prevent God from doing what He intends to do.

* **Sovereign Pleasure:** God does whatever He pleases; His own will is the only ultimate determining factor.

* **Superior Power:** Using the analogy of a camera receding from an Olympic stadium until it becomes a “blurry dot,” this illustrates that all human grandeur is insignificant compared to God’s scale.

### 3. The Threefold Impact on the Believer

The core of the message argues that God’s power provides three specific things for His covenant people:

| **Reverence** | Understanding God as Almighty moves Him beyond being a “pal” or “grandfather” figure. True reverence is a mix of awe, wonder, and “friendly terror.” |

| **Reward** | (Or Recompense). Omnipotence ensures that righteousness will prevail and that those who resist God will eventually face His just judgment. |

| **Refuge** | This is not a promise of escape from earthly suffering (referencing martyr Jim Elliot), but a guarantee of **ultimate security**. No earthly force can separate the believer from God’s love. |

### Conclusion

Accept the “terms of the covenant,” which is **obedient faith in Jesus Christ**. By doing so, we can move from being a target of God’s judgment to finding an eternal, unshakable refuge in His power.

Message:”God Is Sovereign”

Rev. Jeru Francia

This message, centered on Exodus 4:10–12, explores the tension between our personal feelings of inadequacy and the sovereign power of God. The core argument is that our reluctance to speak about our faith is rarely about a lack of natural talent—it is a lack of trust in the God who created our mouths in the first place.

The “Moses Problem”

When God called Moses to deliver His people, Moses repeatedly brought up his own limitations: his lack of eloquence, his “heavy” tongue, and his fear of rejection. We often do the same. We view ourselves as “flowers” trying to command an “oak tree,” and we use our perceived weaknesses as a humble-sounding excuse to avoid doing what God has asked of us.

The Divine Rebuttal

God’s response to Moses wasn’t to argue that Moses was actually eloquent. Instead, God pointed to His own sovereignty.

The Creator Argument: God reminded Moses that He is the architect of the human body and mind. If He created the mouth, He is fully capable of using it.

The Presence Promise: God didn’t promise Moses that the task would be easy; He promised that He would be with Moses.

The Purpose of Weakness: God chooses the weak to shame the strong so that the glory remains with Him. He doesn’t need our eloquence; He needs our availability and our trust.

5 Practical Steps to Faith-Filled Speaking

To stop letting fear dictate your words, the message offers these five steps:

Acknowledge your weakness: Stop pretending you’re a professional orator. Admitting you are weak is the first step toward relying on His strength.

Meditate on God’s promises: Remind yourself daily that His grace is sufficient, even when you feel clumsy or ill-equipped.

Ponder God’s Sovereignty: When a situation seems impossible or a conversation seems like it might be a “catastrophe,” remember that the God who created the world is in control of the outcome.

Pray for sensitivity: Ask for guidance to recognize the “spontaneous opportunities” to speak, whether at work, in the neighborhood, or at church.

Step out in faith: When the moment arrives, give your fear to the wind and simply use the mouth God gave you.

“God loves to glorify his power more by felling an oak with a flower than by turning a flower into an oak.”

Message:

The Lord’s Name (Exodus 3:13–15)

Rev. Jeru Francia  This message is a deep meditation on the biblical name of God, Yahweh (I AM WHO I AM).

The central theme is that knowing God’s specific name and character is the key to trusting Him with our daily lives and eternal destinies.

In Scripture, a name signifies character, ability, or mission. While human parents give names as a hope for what a child might become, God’s names are definitive. When God names Himself, He is revealing the absolute truth of His nature to deepen our love and strengthen our faith.

The name Yahweh (often rendered as “LORD” in English Bibles) appears over 6,000 times in the Old Testament. It is derived from the phrase “I AM WHO I AM.” This signifies that God is not a generic deity but a specific, personal being.

God Exists: This is the most basic truth, yet most people live as if it weren’t true (treating God like “hydrogen”—present but ignored).

Self-Derived Personality and Power: No outside force created God or shaped His character. He has no beginning; He is the starting point of all reality.

God Does Not Change: Because He is not shaped by outside forces, He is not subject to change, weakness, or unforeseen circumstances. He is the “granite foundation” of our confidence.

Unlimited Source of Energy: As the Creator, all energy in the universe originates in Him. He never grows weary and does not need to be “recharged.”

Objective Truth is Crucial: God is who He is regardless of our feelings or opinions. We must strive to know Him as He truly is, not as we want Him to be.

We Must Conform to God: Creatures do not dictate terms to the Creator. Our lives should be modeled after His will and character, not the other way around.

God Drew Near in Jesus Christ: Jesus claimed the name “I AM” for Himself (John 8:58). In Christ, the absolute, infinite God became a servant to atone for sins, allowing us to know “I AM” as our Father.

Message: Love 1 Corinthians 13

Rev. Jeru Francia

💖 1 Corinthians 13: The More Excellent Way of Love

the fourth week of Advent (Theme: Love), focuses on 1 Corinthians 13,

Love Matters Because Without It, Nothing Else Will (vv. 1–3)

Gifts Without Love are Useless:

Sacrifice Without Love is Worthless:

Love Matters Because Love Makes Us Like Christ (vv. 4–7)

Love Matters Because Love Lasts Forever (vv. 8–13)

Spiritual gifts are partial and temporary, but love is eternal.

Illustrations of the Temporary:

Childishness: Gifts are like childish ways that are left behind when one attains maturity.

Mirrors: Our current knowledge of God is incomplete and imperfect, like looking into a dimly polished metal mirror of that era. One day, we will know God face to face and fully, just as we are fully known by Him now.

Love Endures: While gifts will cease, verse 13 states that faith, hope, and love will abide, and “the greatest of these is love.” Love is the “master grace.” It is the image of Jesus formed in us, making us fit for the “world of love” that is heaven

Worship Songs

1. “O Come All Ye Faithful”

2. “Your Grace is Enough”

3. “Firm Foundation (He Won’t)”

Message: Joy Of The Prodigal Son (Luke 15)

Rev. Jeru Francia

🎄 Theme and Context: Joy in the Lost Being Found

The Parables: Seeking and Celebration

💔 The Misery of Lostness (The Younger Son)

🙏 The Nature of Repentance : Humble Brokenness

🥳 The Lavish Enthusiasm of the Father (God)

When the son returns, the Father’s welcome is unrestrained joy:

Sees Him From Afar Felt Compassion Ran Embraced and Kissed Home Best Robe, Ring, and Sandals: “Bring the fattened calf, kill it, and let us eat and be merry

😠 The Danger of the Older Brother

The older brother represents the Pharisees and scribes who criticized Jesus. He embodies:

Legalism and Duty without Delight Jealousy and Anger Spiritual Lostness in Physical Closeness

The ultimate message is an encouragement to experience the Joy of Advent and Christmas by looking to the Father’s heart, which is all about finding the lost and celebrating their return.

Worship Songs

Message: 🕊️ Peace: John 14:23-27

Rev. Jeru Francia

💖 The Three-Fold Gift: Peace, Joy, and Faith

Jesus’ Peace is Unique (v. 27): His peace is not given “as the world gives,” meaning it is not based on favorable circumstances (health, wealth, security). It is a peace that “surpasses all understanding” and holds sway in spite of tribulation (John 16:33).

✨ The Sovereignty of God

Satan’s Powerlessness (vv. 30-31): Jesus asserts that the ruler of this world (Satan) “has no claim on me.” The cross is not the result of demonic power but of Christ’s loving obedience to the Father’s command (“I do as the Father has commanded me, so that the world may know that I love the Father”).

Assurance for the Believer: Because love was sovereign at history’s darkest hour (the cross), it will be sovereign in the believer’s darkest hour, providing the basis for unshakable faith.

🎁 Advent Peace as Shalom

Shalom Defined: The biblical concept of peace, Shalom, means more than just a feeling; it is a positive condition of total harmony, justice, and flourishing—nothing missing, nothing broken.

Peace as Action: The call to Advent Week 2 is to become peacemakers (“Blessed are the peacemakers”) and to work against oppression, division, and inequity, reflecting the coming Kingdom.
